The author and his wife were professional picture framers operating their own retail picture frame shop and art gallery, established in 1967, in the San Francisco Bay Area. He and his wife manufactured and finished all their own frames using only raw wood molding stock (Brit:moulding.) They created everything from simple certificate frames to ornate gilded compo frames, including custom made decorative wood inlays, and unique one-of-a-kind inlaid moldings.
